Dori’s been teaching people how to rock out with JavaScript before JavaScript became cool again.
Bill is a fellow Wisconsinite and another old-time weblogger. I’m always up for meeting smart people that fit into those categories.
Deirdre demoed an app she converted from WebObjects to Rails, which helped sell me on the whole Rails thing.
I went for a job interview and noticed the name on the list, but it never once occurred to me that it’d be the SAME Bill Humphries I knew from science fiction fandom. I was gobsmacked.
Les gets that XSLT is a part of the Web 2.0 glue. He’s another Yoko Kanno fan.
He has been doing tagging longer then all you folks (except maybe Josh @ Memepool), he knows more, and gets more of the jokes, presented one of the few compelling use cases I’ve evern seen for XSLT, works at Apple, and keeps me up-to-date on Mavericks going on when I’m far from home (which is always)
